Bio

Drawing is a way for me to observe, understand and navigate systems. Using the grid as both a structure and a constraint, I examine how repetition can produce order, variation, and disruption. While studying in Italy, an engagement with the technical, time-sensitive chemistry of classical fresco painting opened up a deeper interest in traditions where predetermined rules and repetitive systems guide the process.

This foundation evolved while working at Vitra, where an ethos of “serious play” led me to experiment with color, form, and subtle anomalies that invite moments of discovery.

Drawing from memory and the observation of daily rhythms, my work translates everyday gestures into a study on how individuals transverse hierarchy and control, investigating the quiet tension between conformity and deviation.
