Alongside Each Other
The Square, the Circle, and the Triangle figures — represent the spectrum of human emotion. Each of them embodies distinct yet interconnected traits, reflecting what is universal and profoundly individual.
My point of departure was drawing from the philosophies of three renowned designers — Jean Prouvé, Giulio Ridolfo, and Konstantin Grcic — who have collaborated extensively with Vitra and Kvadrat. These forms draw on the square’s structural integrity, the circle’s warmth and continuity, and the triangle’s strength and dynamism.
This series is crafted in partnership with Silaiwali, a social enterprise that empowers marginalized Afghan women refugees in India. Through the meticulous repurposing of production waste and discontinued samples, these handcrafted dolls tell a story of sustainability, resilience, and connection. Together, we transform discarded textiles into objects of meaning, celebrating craft and community through these emotive forms.
